This pattern is available in English.

1977 socks are very personal to me and there is a lot of love in them. Sounds like the worst cliche but let's face it: who don´t love cliches?

This pattern was made with the technical support of my momma Marketa, mainly because of the heel construction which she developed in many many years of socks knitting and it is a kind of family heritage we would like to share with you.

The design with three stripes and toe in contrasting colour is inspired by my love for vintage tennis fashion (and my favourite tennis icon of all times — Richie Tenenbaum), by 70´s culture in general which I like perhaps the most and by fake Adidas stuff everywhere in my childhood in Czech Republic in 80s and 90s, I am sure some of you understand perfectly what I mean... And in 1977 my partner was born! As I wrote before: a total love affair in these socks!

1977socks knitting pattern come in two lenghts and two sizes. It is a top-down knitting with interesting heel construction where you need to use eastern knitting technique.

This pattern is quite easy and fast, however, you need to read the instructions carefully and proceed carefully when knitting the heel for the first time.
